Mother, Father, Brother, Cousins, the whole shebang. Mutation. Steven has superhuman strength. We're talking picking up two cars with little to no effort. Bio. In his early life, Steven was far from the model child. He never really cared all that much about school, and found extracurricular activities more interesting, one of which was music. He'd skip school to practice with his friends, and even to go out of town to catch a concert. His family muttered a bit about it, but really didn't intervene, due to the fact that in the end, Steven was still passing his classes, and that's all they really cared about in the first place. While he was in high school, Steven found out he was a mutant after a game of truth or dare gone wrong. A few of his friends dared him to go into the old Smith tomb, with the intentions of trapping him in there for a few hours. He went along with it, and after they trapped him in there, he found himself in a corner, freaking out, and clawing at the walls trying to get out. He ended up breaking down the wall and escaping into the night. When he later found his friends, he gave them a bullshit story about a truck, which they bought, even though there weren't any tire tracks or anything to prove it. From there on he tried to keep it to himself (however it was difficult, and many things ended up mysteriously broken at the Baugher household), and went on with his life like a teenager with musical inclinations. He'd been part of numerous bands in high school, and kept bouncing around from band to band until a little known (at the time) band, The Full Effect, started developing a fan base. The next few years were a ride for Steven, with him becoming part of a nationally known band, and after some lineup changes and 2 successful albums, things seemed right for him, until one night it all went to hell. He was out one night with the band and their tour manager after a show. The band saw a wrecked car flipped over and thought that they saw someone under it. They all decided to try and flip over the car, but when Steven pushed the car it flipped into the air. His band mates and manager were astonished, as were the photographers that had set up the entire scene to get pictures. Hours later, it was all over the news that Steven was a mutant, and the record label kicked him out, citing a clause in their contract allowing them to prematurely end his contract. The official story was that Steven had been doing drugs, steroids to be exact, which made him strong enough to flip the car on his own. No one really bought the story though, but the attention died down after a while. Afterwards, Steven found himself jobless until he was contacted by Charles Xavier, who gave him an offer of a teaching position. After Steven realized that it was close to home, and would hand him a well paying job with free room and board, he became the mansion's new English teacher. From there it was fairly smooth sailing for Steven, sans a relationship with a student gone horribly horribly wrong, and from that point on he found himself primarily spending time with Danielle Moonstar. The two of them got into plenty of trouble, including a joke-pregnancy that the media caught wind of, and a drunken Halloween wedding, which they quickly got annulled. Steven also got himself into a bit of trouble after an escalating one-up war with co-worker Marcus Anderson ended up with a broken door, Marc in the hospital with a broken arm and a concussion, and Steven hiding in his room from people with knives. Currently, Steven has gone back to teaching full time, and has been working on his music again. Personality. Steven used to be laid back about a lot of things, until a not so platonic relationship with a student left him on the receiving end of the Professor's ire. Ever since that, he avoids talking to students outside of class, and isn't open to much of anyone. He has been described as an asshole, or a douche bag by quite a few people, but he's actually started letting his guard down within the past year. | |||||||||
